Meet Shide and Shenemi
Shide is a 26-year-old Law graduate working in financial services, and Shenemi, a 24-year-old Philosophy & Politics graduate from the University of York.
They are Jesus lovers, natural hair enthusiasts who love design, fashion, art, travel & food. In short, they are multi-hypenated.
In 2020, they launched The Blooming Fros, a platform for educating both men and women on afro hair.

BIG FOUR
A platform that empowers women (men too) to love their hair and embrace all of them.
Obedience - Everything we do is born out of our relationship with God and He laid it on our heart to start this platform, so we said yes and here we are. We wanted an avenue to show the beauty of natural hair, but most especially express our creative side through fashion and beauty.
We never thought we would have natural hair and love it, 5 years on and we wholeheartedly do. Taking care of our hair has taught us about the power of a transformed and renewed mind which we try to live by in all areas of our lives. As well as consistency and discipline that is required if you want to achieve anything. Our hair and The Blooming Fros has taught and continues to teach us the power and satisfaction of obedience & saying yes to God.
It’s only the beginning, because the vision God has for us is continually unfolding into a beautiful, glorious picture that we could never paint ourselves.
